So it should, but she never cared about that part, nor understood why I do. I doubt she understands it now, but at least she's stopped trying to force her agenda on me.
[Sure, the beginnings of her career are a shambles now, but Hifumi's confident she can turn things around on her own, sooner or later - and that'll be an even better comeback story than the one her mother wanted to spin.]
I've found a few people who play, and a few who want to learn. [And so far none of them have minded her dramatics at all! She's just about not embarrassed by it anymore.]
And she's not here, which is a huge point in this place's favor.
...It's hard to say. Without Ren's reassurance that the Christmas Eve situation won't linger, I'd say yes for sure. [As it is, she's still not sure how much cheering from the sidelines can do, so she's taking Ren and Futaba's word that it does something, however small.]
I absolutely prefer not having my mother in my hair all the time, though I do miss my father. It would've been much harder to bear being here if I'd been here alone, but fortunately Ren showed up at the same time I did. The lack of structure is both jarring after so long building up the school routine and a good chance to take things at your own pace.
I don't think there's an easy answer. There are things I miss about Tokyo and things I've found I enjoy here.
I see... Ren's so reliable, isn't he? It wouldn't surprise me if he simply willed himself to be here, simply so that you wouldn't be on your own.
[He's glad she had someone to rely on, at least. Yusuke's not really sure what he would do here on his own, after the initial shiny factor of being on some distant world wore off.]
It's understandable. At the very least, this is a reprieve from difficult circumstances at home, I suppose.
He really is. [She can't help laughing at the mental image of Ren willing himself to join her, for all she thinks it's unlikely. He'd have to know where she was and think it was more important than spending time with his other friends, after all, and he's not the sort to choose like that.]
Exactly. If nothing else, I arrived here in the middle of something terrible happening that I don't know how to help stop, or whether I can. Even knowing it'll be resolved, I can't say I'm in any hurry.

[It's certainly a way to enjoy the game without worrying about the past at all.]

[It's something of a blunt question, but he's curious. Some have more to gain being taken from home than others.]
