No, before that. After the previous trial, he interrogated me rather forcefully about Edogawa-san's death, believing I would crack under pressure and reveal information about my supposed guilt.

In other words, he suspected I was one of the Reaper hunters, which suggests to me he has no information on their identities.

Mm... I follow your logic. He doesn't seem the type that's particularly good at guile anyway. If I were a Reaper, I'd probably attempt to control who he was allowed to speak with.

With the number of people with their fingers in different pots around here, he'll hardly be the only person to target. Better to start moving in some direction than spin our wheels forever. I'd rather people start speaking up so we can start figuring out how to get all this over with.
